Hi, What car is this? 940? 960? Age?? How long was the battery off the car?? More than a couple of hours and I suspect the codes, if any, have been cleared. If a 940, you have only one sensor, which is located before the Cat. Any exaust changes, including the Cat should not affect the sensor or its readings. However, if you have changed from a standard exhaust to a through flow type (stainless) then it may hick-up initially, and then be fine. I know that my V90 (two sensors) hick-uped a couple of times following the new exhaust, but (fingers crossed) has not done so since.. Des. . . ;)

Weight is about half that of the Volvo item removed, two pipes going in,single thickness.Only thing I am dubious about is that the front Lamba has not a lot of clearance, sounds OK but I think it will only last a couple of years.I am in Harborne B'ham, were are you? Mike

RE: Lamba light

don't ask how this works but it does... if you turn on your ignition but dont start the engine, remove & replace the Ignition Relay from the fuse box under the bonnet, this will purge the faults from the ECU and will turn out the Lambda light, usually the Lambda light will come on after a CAT change or if you forget to plug in the MAF Sensor when you've had the air box out (lol) if there are any real faults then the dash lights will come back on this was found when I had the car hooked up to a total diagnostics computer via the ECU & OBDII port in the center consol on the rolling road its worth mentioning that although the OBDII port is fitted to the 97/98 S/V90 most 'readers' won't be able to connect as the OBDII ports weren't fully intergrated into most cars until 2001
