I'll take the voice over all that other. She deserves a more expressive, musical vehicle. I know, tastes differ, but I can't help it if my thought during the song was 'what could this singer do with a composition that pushed her?' A couple of times (like at 1.40 and 2.30) I thought she was going to take off, but it didn't happen.
cheers for the feedback, ru thinking like a key change is required or just that she should sing something more up frot in the choruses and bridge sections? im working on a solo project with her that might me more up your alley, we were also in a band several years ago together, we used a sample from an old song to of ours to make the chorus vocal. maybe we should look at it again, keen to hear what other people think. thanks

Man, what a voice. When I hear a breathy, soulful voice like that, I pretty much stop whatever I'm doing to listen. I like the song. It has a nice, laid back groove to it. Very pleasurable to listen to on it's own. But man... those vocals. You could write all the music on a freakin' washboard and a kazoo and I'd still buy it. She's got the kind of voice that fills music halls. Showcase her to the fullest extent all the time. All. The. Time.
